Russia’s Rosneft, ExxonMobil bid for Mozambique license blocks

MOSCOW, Jul 30 (PRIME) -- RN-Exploration, a unit of Russian oil major Rosneft, and U.S.’ ExxonMobil have filed joint bids to participate in the fifth license round organized by Mozambique’s National Petroleum Institute, Rosneft said in a statement Thursday.

The companies will bid at an open tender for the A5-A and A5-B license blocks in the Angoche Basin and for the Z5-C and Z5-D license blocks in the Zambezi Delta. In case of a victory, ExxonMobil will be the operator of the project.
